If you have a Brantano outlet near you then perhaps try there. I know Barratts used to, not sure if they still do. 1/2 shoe sizing is becoming far less common than it was in the mid-1990s, unfortunately [especially for me, because I have big feet but not quite big enough to fit into a size 12, but too big to fit into an 11!].
I'm a 6 1/2 and it drives me mad having to compensate with 7s or 6s. Usually I go the size down if they're leather, in the hope that they'll stretch out a bit. But it's frustrating how few shops do half sizes. I don't know if Clarks do the adult shoes in half sizes because I haven't bought a pair from there for years. I saw a pair of Clarks shoes in Schuh, but they don't do half sizes there...do you think its likely that they might have half sizes of these shoes in a bigger Clarks branch? I might try that.
I used to work for Clarks and they do half sizes in most of their styles of shoe. In the ones that tend not to be made in half sizes they usually do a 5 1/2 anyway - does that make sense?
thanks all. I'm a 6 and a half and it's bloody annoying trying to find shoes that fit well. At the moment, all my shoes (I only have four) come from next, and was hoping to find some more places. I do like clarks but they cost so much. I picked up a pair of flat black shoes the other day, they were £55!
