Say if you were an economics student in Italy, you would learn your whole course in italian. All the key words you would learn would be in italian and all the mathematical calculations would be done in italian.

Now say you moved to the UK to do a masters in economics, now everything is taught in English. You would have to remember key words in english now.

All your past knowledge about economics is in italian, so how do you adjust to the new medium of instruction?
Wouldn't you have to translate some technical english economics words that you don't know?

If you know the concept and understand all the language around it it soon becomes pretty obvious what a word means.

I did a year abroad and knew the local legal term within the first few weeks.
