So, I got a tablet for my birthday. Dead happy, been wanting a Windows tablet for years...

But right from getting it, it takes an age to boot up. And I've noticed if I leave it asleep for more than an hour or two, it turns itself off. Anything I can do about this? I've tried editing the power settings, and poking around other stuff, it's not like I can't find my way around, I've been using computers all my life and know Windows settings about as intimately as you can. So is it a problem with the hardware, or is there something I could have missed?

Sorry, my brain repressed most windows 8 issues after having to support it.

What does the battery charge say? Does it feel particularly hot? You might check reviews to see if this is a known issue.
