Has anyone learned how to play tenor 4-string banjo on their own (essentially without any help. My dad can play a bit, but I flipped the strings to play leftie). Any advice or online resources?
Also, BTW, I have experience reading music and playing other string instruments. I'm looking for something specific to banjo. Thanks

    Hi there!

I've been learning a 5 string banjo for about 4-5 months now, and I can definitely say the most useful resource for me has been YouTube!
You can literally type anything banjo-y into it and find loads of helpful videos

Most banjo 'music' is written in tabs, similar to guitar (I'm sure you'll be familiar with that..) A quick Google should provide you with a vast number of songs to get you going!

Hope this has helped (a bit?)

    Luke

P.S If you need any help, message me and i'll be happy to help a fellow banjoer!

www.chordie.com has music on there and you can transpose it to banjo.
