I'm filling out graduate scheme applications and it's really bothering me that I don't have any recent work experience. From 2004 to 2009 I worked in a library where I managed a team. Since then I've been doing some sort of work experience every summer. However in 2012 and the summer just gone I haven't managed to find anything.

So I was wondering if its even worth applying to graduate schemes? I can show that I have led some fundraising events but this was around five years ago too.

Yeh still worth it, I know a lot of people who got onto graduate schemes with no relevant work experience at all. Still got a better chance if you have some though, of course.
