Lol. I was going to reply properly till I read "then that begins the downfall of humanity"

What was your reply? FYI it does begin the downfall of humanity when bestiality is made legal.

Lol, awesome! hahaha

What are my thoughts on incest? Hella gross. There is a limit to everything.. and a fine line between being humans and animals.

I don't think it's right however, I wouldn't go as far as calling incestual relationships inhumane.

Aren't you the girl who asked about English being her second language, how that go for you?

It doesn't bother me because I don't think about it and don't practice it.

Well, there isn't an excuse.

You keep on saying that excuses will be found.

The problem is one of consent. Animals cannot consent. Therefore, they cannot agree to sex.

I am not sure how you cannot create an excuse for that.
It's gross, and I wouldn't go anywhere near it.

But morally, I can't find an issue.

The current Western society is an amoral one, which is why it's hard to argue against incest.

I believe most of these liberals are just brain-dead, easy-led morons who will believe anything the media tells them. Without the media pushing for homosexual marriage it wouldn't have been allowed. The same could be done for incest or any number of things and it will be allowed too.

A lot of people don't understand paedophilia, that doesn't mean it should be approached with 'an open mind'

(nothing against homosexuals, just find incest wrong)

Paedophilia is not, and cannot be, between two consenting adults.

Incest and Homosexuality can.

Animals can actually consent. If they exhibit mating behaviours and show excitement during and after the act, that is consent.

Those people behaved just like wild animals.

Does step family count as incest?

Yes.

Yes, especially cousins.

I had come across someone saying that we are not as attracted to those who have a similar genetic makeup like ourselves such as family.
With cousins though, I think there is a possibility of sexual attraction. From what I know cousins in some cultures marry each other.

I'm incesterested.

you see what he did there?
Legal?
-Don't know if it is. Should it be? I guess. Who are we to say what two consenting adults can and can't do in the bedroom.

Morally ok?
-Not morally ok but that's not saying it should be banned or anything. As long as its not used for the procreation of children then it should just be ignored.

Meets social expectations?
-Hell no.
Experiences?
I am not pro incest, and I'm sure most people who thought like me wouldn't be either. I even feel revolted with "incest-play/porn" and the whole idea makes me incredibly uncomfortable.

Yet I am also uncomfortable by anti-incest arguments. To criminalise and taboo something because we find it gross strikes me as backwards, and yes, strikes a chord with the way homosexuality was treated, and still is treated today. Everytime I've read an article like "Dad sleeps with Daughter!!" the comments are incredibly abusive, death threats and really horrible insults; I remember reading an article on how a brother and sister who were in the papers for having sex in a train station had to go into hiding because people were throwing bricks into their house and threatening to kill them. OK its something that I find repulsive, but to demonetise these people who can't help the way they feel is sickening imo.

It also annoys me because you can't, apparently, compare homosexuality to incest. I appreciate this is probably because it is generally an argument used by homophobes, and who conflate incestious acts and homosexual acts. The way both sexualities are treated, however, are far too similar. Why are people not taking lessons from the way homosexuality was treated - most people agree their oppression was a horrible, horrible thing, and that you should let people love who they want to love. The way we talk about incestuous people sometimes is inhumane and vile.

There are problems with incestuous relationships which I can appreciate, though I personally still feel some are as uncalled for as to saying all homosexuals have AIDS. Having 'issues', for instance, might be true; there might be psychological evidence to suggest this. However, before I personally see various, non-bias/agendered, pieces of research on this, I can still address this as a something stirred up from popular belief. In terms of endangered future children, a) as someone has said, chances of deformed children through first stage of incest is small, and overstated to link with the taboo, and b) even if the child was disadvantaged, a child loved is a child worth having, no?

I don't even know if I think incest should be legalised, I don't feel I know enough about it. But those are my thoughts.

A cousin is like a ready made friend, I can try to imagine why it is a easy fun option.

If bot parties are males then there is no risk of pregnancy, so is it ok?
Absolutely disgusting. I don't see why because they are 2 consenting adults, it makes everything ok. NO. You have the same mum and dad, there is a sibling bond which shouldn't be broken. I can't believe people are saying it's fine, in that case, would you consider ****ing your sibling? Ugh

And I haven't even started on the risks e.g complications , pregnancy

If both parties consent, are adults, and protection is used so no pregnancy occurs then I think it's fine. - At the end of the day it's between 2 people who are not hurting anybody by what they're doing - provided this is the case I just can't see what business it is of the state or anyone else to interfere, we should be mature enough to value the liberty of the individual above the "eew" factor. I think the same argument can be made for homosexuality too (though thankfully we're enlightened enough to have legalised that).

I agree mainly because the two people involved didn't exactly choose to be related to each other, therefore why shouldn't they be allowed to do what they desire, if as you say, protection and whatnot is used.
Although, it seems very unappealing to myself, but that doesn't mean everyone has the same views.
