Skin peeling on finger tips

The middle 3 fingers on my right hand, out of the blue oneday the fingertips of them were bright pink and very sensitive. This bright pink and sensitivity lasted for 4/5 days and now its not pink anymore, except the skin is peeling :s:

I dont know where its gone, because I havent been peeling it, but I can see anew layer of skin underneath them and they feel numb.

I have no idea, what caused this, because I haven't touched anything new. What could be the problem?

Is it a scald/burn from something hot? That's the only thing that I can think it sounds like :s-smilie:

But then again, I'm sure you would have noticed if you'd burnt yourself, so maybe not all that helpful!
Sunburn, maybe? Can't see why you'd just get it on three fingers though XD
Something like bleach, perhaps? On something like a bathroom surface you might not have noticed it, but if it didn't get washed off, it might flare up a skin irritation.

do you play an instrument? i play the guitar and skin comes off from playing too much

hmmm well I did clean the bathroom with bleach, but Ive done that many times before and its never happened before. I do play an instrument, the piano, I dont think the smooth keys could have done that to them.

Could definitely be the bleach, if you got any on your fingers and did not wash it off. Alternatively, washing powder? - also would take skin off if not washed off.
