I haven't heard from him in two days and I feel so depressed. I just think he doesn't care about me to even drop me a text to ask me how I am. When my phone beeps I get so excited and when its not him I feel a sense of emptiness and loneliness. I just want him to text. I always make the effort to do it first and I've had enough. Him ignoring me is driving me mad. I don't know where he is or what he is doing. But I don't want to keep making the first move. If he were to text tonight I know I would be euphoric especially if it was something sweet. If its just a short text I'll still feel pretty deflated. I have hobbies and I have friends. But I still can't get over this feeling.

Why don't you just send him a text?!

Seconded, why is it so wrong to send a text first?

He's probably sat there thinking you aren't interested because he's always the one having to initiate conversations, and wondering if you've just been ignoring him for several days. It works both ways

She's already said that she's always the one to text first and she'd like him to make the effort and text first for once.

OP, this is a bit weird that he doesn't want to talk to you unless you text first but you will need to have a discussion with him about that and ask him why he doesn't want to talk to you.

Yes it is wrong. You sound clingy which is a turn off to a lot of people. I've felt like this before and it definitely began to fade once I started keeping myself occupied more of the time. People have other friends to talk to or other hobbies/interests/commitments which don't involve you, it's not a bad thing. Two weeks would be a problem but two days? Nope.

I also tend to avoid texting someone if all i've got to say is ''how's your day been'' or something along those lines. Even if I really want to talk to them. Such conversations get very repetitive, very quickly.

Not everyone likes texting. I don't. It's pretty crap. I only really text my friends for informative reasons, like asking what time we're meeting. My girlfriend thinks I'm a bad texter as I usually take a couple of hours to reply. From my perspective, however, I've basically taken up texting for her.

It seems an arbitrary and unfair way to judge his affection.

Ah sorry, I didn't see that bit. I agree, talk to him about it in person. Maybe he just prefers talking to you face to face rather than texting? My boyfriend is a bit old fashioned like that he says texting is too "impersonal"

Two days, and your losing it because he hasn't texted you ? That's like bordering on being obsessive with texts from your boyfriend :lolwut: !
