# Solving this hyperbolic function watch

1. Hey guys,

I'm trying to solve this hyperbolic function explicitly but am being left with some fairly messy algebra which I don't really know how to work with.

Solve:

4sech^2(x) - 7tanh(x) - 2 = 0

By substituting for logarithmic forms and simplifying I'm left with:

How can I solve this quartic expression for x? Is there a trick I've missed?

Thanks
