Hey I am currently doing my A2 and want to go to uni to study computing or computer science however I only have 2 A levels and will be 20 by the time I finish college.

The reason why I couldn't study more than two is because it was too much for me to handle (I have aspergers and autism) and I only wanted to study ICT/computers. I wanted to study history but couldn't cope with the essays at that time. So I went on level 1 to get used to college life and worked my way up which is where I found my love for computers.

So at the moment I am studying Applied ICT which has a programming unit in it.

I am wondering if I could study at a good uni with 2 A levels (I got a AB in my AS level and hopefully ill get a AA overall). Also would the unis accept my programming unit instead of A level Maths??

I am based in Yorkshire so unis in the Yorkshire area would be good.

If not my plan is to do a level 3 apprenticeship after I leave college or do a Foundation degree at college.

There are Unis in your area that would accept 240 Ucas points (ie. 2 x A grades) for Computer Science - Bradford, York St John or Sheffield Hallam.

Send them an email before you apply to see if they would accept only 2 A levels at your predicted grades for these points.

    Thanks mate for your reply

Do you know which computer science course is best or do you know people that have done the courses at those uni's?

I want to do computer science but I don't want it to be heavily based theory and little practical. I have also heard that Computing or Software Engineering is heavily practical based but not sure if its true
