Say you don't get on with one of your tutors, are there safeguards in place where your marks are not affected by any tensions between you and your tutor?

Has anyone got any stories and experiences where they didn't get on with their tutor?

    Meh aha interesting post
I hope not. One of mine acts like a stubborn lazy teenager and complains about her job every 2minutes. She needs a reality check so she shouldnt expect her students to commit if she isnt.
If you compare it to someone in your class who the tuitor seems to love then its clear any marks they can scrape they will get them with a warning.
I see it all the time though- when the student had stood up to or just given their opinion ob something that happens to be different to a tuitor's they get a little narked, but whether or not that affects how they mark your work im not sure-it may deoebd on if you are seen as a good student overall for exampke.
Not sure aha this reply may be pointless, sorry

That's one thing the Students' Union here at Northumbria has campaigned for and got put into place - anonymous marking.
Unless we've missed handing a piece in at the office and the lecturer has allowed the piece to be handed in personally, there is no way they can match a Student ID with a name (as if it's late with good reason without a PEC form, it's good of lecturers to mark it anyway)
Does your uni not run such a policy? If not, you could bring it up with your Students' Union.
