Yes, and I've been with the girl for the last 5 months.
I wouldn't really like to go out with a girl who "made me wait", because the implication is that she is "giving me sex", rather than doing it because she enjoys it and wants me.
Of course, I'm not saying you can't get to know someone first, but ideally it should be a more mutual thing rather than a boy pestering girl thing.
Anyway, sex on the first date worked just fine for me, although I wasn't looking for a relationship - she chased it up very well.

Yes... well, we first met on the monday (hadnt known each other before) then randomly ran into each other on the thursday and well...things happen was an amazing night, wouldnt swap it for the world. Definitly worth it. Shame i'll never see him again as he's off with the armed forces (now u see why it was so great lol)

The decision for sex should be when both are ready and the mood is right and oh so perfect! I remember I had sex on the 4th date (I think), We went for dinner and walked back to his house under the stars through the park it was just so romantic! That set the mood for kissing in the hallway and yes........ it was perfect. 
no I haven't. It's a bit trashy.. I'd want someone to get to know me for who I was and then want to sleep with me further in to a relationship, rather than me being no more than a quick f**k who they may or may not, probably the latter there, see after they got what they came for!
I don't go on 'dates', I am not fifteen anymore.

Most people go on dates, whatever their age you strange creature. Some of my grandmothers friends go on dates.
Perhaps you just have a strange grandmother because strangely enough, I have friends who are girls, and sometimes they become girlfriends, I don't text random girls with 'lol, u wnat go too da cinema t00nite?'.
