Ooh exciting new thread, hello chaps.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Mens-L-Polo-Ralph-Lauren-Vintage-Style-Ski-Sweater-Hand-Knit-Wool-Patchwork-/300989294592

Found that in a vintage store today, so so happy.
Looking to buy a pea coat seeing as winter is coming up.

http://www.transatlantic.co.uk/acatalog/surplus-raw-vintage-mens-pea-coat.html

Something like this. Infact something exactly like this (with the double buttons and collars). I have no idea about transatlantic.co.uk, never heard of it or used it so not sure about buying from there.

Any shops you recommend me buying from? Topman, H&M, Zara etc... I am willing to spend about 80-90 quid (I'm not rich and over flowing with money) although if i can get something of equal quality for less, i will be all in for a bargain.

Also would you recommend pea coats to shorter men? Im 5'8 so quite short.

Should I get these or look for something slicker?

Cheers but why? Is the quality just that amazing when bought from Uniqlo?

I'll give you an example.

Here is a pea coat from uniqlo
http://www.uniqlo.com/uk/store/goods/078908#thumbnailSelect

Here is another pea coat from topman for 4 quid less
http://www.topman.com/en/tmuk/product/clothing-140502/mens-coats-jackets-140512/black-wool-borg-pea-coat-2112631?bi=1&ps=20

Topman one looks a bit nicer, and cheaper, and i can go to the store and try it on myself. Not trying to argue by the way.

But this leather jacket looks pretty cool, from uniqlo

Uniqlo quality is better. Topman is very trend based and a lot of the coats I've gotten from there tend to have buttons fall off/threads come out etc. uniqlo is robust and well made and definitely the best you can get in the sub 100 price range.

You get 30% more wool from uniqlo for a fiver more.
Also re pea coats, get one in navy. Navy is smarter and more stylish imo, grey/black are more faddy.
Alright ill get it from uniqlo then

Im on the larger side of Medium so medium should look good and fit well and not be too loose (loose coats suck)

What about that leather jacket. Looks like something cool i could wear on a night out, would also look good with scarf and boots, blue jeans.

Personally not a fan of that leather jacket, the only one's I like are the 'biker' style ones. But that is just personal preference.

I'm feeling like going clothes shopping tomorrow, might get some knitwear now it's a bit chillier but I know how much of a pain it can be to wash, saw a sorta hoody thing at work (River Island) so I might get that discounted, I know how controversial it is but there's some things from Hollister that I actually really like, might have to pop in tomorrow :ninja:

Oh and will also look for some nice aftershave/perfume (you know what I mean) for nights out and house parties, currently depending on Sure deodorant

Gonna make sure I keep check on this thread as I'm going to make a proper effort with myself this year :woo:

Of course I was being serious
