hey!
no I haven't yet, but I suppose I'll be getting it soon! I'm so sorry you didn't get in... they said living too close to London could be a reason. I think Arwen didn't get halls either, you could ask her how she worked things out!

Hey!
I know how you feel! i have got into Mary Brancker House, but i wanted college grove! I live like a 5 hour drive away from London and have never stayed in a city before so im a bit annoyed! has anyone else got Mary Brancker house?

yup- i have too.

Still theres no point being beat up about it, & its not like theres anything we could do anyway. Just look at the positives i guess.

Im sure we'll all have a fab time no matter where we stay.

Hey Batty Hatty, I'm in the same boat here. Who would have thought that living in the home counties could give you a disadvantage! It's going to be a two hour commute if they expect me to live at home, so it'd have to be renting a flat in london. What are your plans on it?

probably find a group of vet students (our year) and just rent a private flat i suppose. just worried about the fact a private rent will cost more. what are your plans? or are you hoping places will come up?

Well it'd be nice for a place to come free, but if not I'd be renting with other Vet students probably, which has some advantages I guess, like not having to rent it over the summer hols (depending on the lease!) so you dont need a 50 week let!

So where abouts do you live? It's kinda annoying that they consider me too close for housing!

i live in stanmore, between watford and edgware, where is it that you live?

harriet
there are some people from my year who didnt get into halls, but got in if a space opened up, and there are a few who live in their own flats/houses. plus if u get a flat/house and get on with everyone it saves the hassel of finding a house next year!!

yea i havent got a place in halls at rvc either next year, i live in buckhurst hill, which is just on the border between essex and london. I suppose if place doesnt open up i'll be looking for a flat or something too. The thing is the place where rvc is one of the most expensive areas. Well got to wait and see if results come in first but no harm in looking at flats now.

hey! I didnt get in either, I live in west london though so thats why! I'm just gonna be happy to get into uni, i dont really mind where I live. Would be great living in a flat, even though I suppose working out the bills would drive me mad after a little while
hi u got accepted wiv abb so how likely will it be that i excepted wiv abb
Reply 12
I think ABB offers are given to people predicted AAA/AAB but who give an exceptionally good performance at interview
Reply 13
Yup, just try to relax at the interview, despite what everyone thinks before they go in, the interview panel are usually quite nice people! Also the Bmat helps, I got quite good scores on that and I think it went towards the offer.

Erm...anyone else who didnt get halls.- dont panic...I'll give you any advice/reasurance if you need it!!!

I think its *really* wrong that 2nd years can get halls, when 1st years are rejected...

I know im living in halls next year, but i do agree with you, i dont think they should have given so many flats to second years. im glad im in there coz its easier then finding a house, but i think they should give first dibs to first years and if theres any left over they should have offered them then. please dont hate me coz im in halls!!
hey everyone, I'm in Greece right now, but my mum's just told me that I've been accepted in College Grove, seems like I'm the only one for the moment (!!!). I suppose it's coz I live so far away.. ah well, I'm happy to be going to the RVC, whatever the accomodation!
