Tricky, she is very young, how old is this teacher? If he is in his late 20s early 30's or older, i would report it, anon tho. If he is only 22ish i think i might leave it to frazzle out itself. Its is a very tricky situation. If you are unsure maybe speak to a school counseller?

Hes breaking his teaching oath, report him. He has a duty of care not to take advantage of a student, whether she was 14 or 18(6th form) its still wrong.

lol...if he looks like a total wierdo and hes far too old/shes really immature and will probably end up getting really hurt then do something but its a bad situation to be in because the teacher will be ruined by this so make sure ure 100% definite...

I dunno if I would tell anyone, see yeah he will suffer, and he probably deserves to because it goes against his teaching oath etc, but she will also suffer. Despite people's best efforts to keept the "student" confidential it will get out and she'll have a really hard time with it. Also, if she ever finds out it was you that told you'll lose her as a friend for good.

It's her having the affair anyway, I'd let her sort it out, unless you think he's abbusive and she could actually be in any physical danger

yea the law is tricky it says ur adult enough at 16 to have sexual relations and get married and have a baby but tbh ur not mature enough to deal with those situations and u lack what alot of being an adult is about and thats experience

I disagree. I think that the average and reasonable 16 year old is capable of making that decision and the law is based on the average and reasonable, not the most stupid naive person you can think of or some chavs that went to your school.

That's not true. She can't get married without parental consent. Christ, she can barely smoke or buy razor blades or knives... she can't even drink outside her own home or buy alcohol, or move out without her parents' consent. If she got pregnant her parents would have to sort it out. Of course it's her parents' business even if she can legally do what she wants. Besides, he's a teacher, and is abusing this proverbial "position of trust" and blah... I don't agree with it since he may well be 22, but the law disagrees with me, so my opinion counts for nothing.

This is a moral question. She is 16. Any reasonable girl can make appropriate decisions at that age. Her parents are not obliged morally or legally to sort it out if she gets pregnant, thats up to her to deal with. I may not agree with what she is doing, and you may not, but its up to her and its none of anyone else's business.

i dont think the op has really told us enough about the situation. The couple may genuinely care about each other, know what they are doing ect, but on the other hand this teacher might just be an old perv taking advantage.
