Int'ls with local girls

I'm of indian ethnicity, but lived all my life in Norway, mostly dated local norwegian girls. I'll be joining university in england this year, so just curious to know what the dating situation tends to be for int'ls. Is it the same as for local guys? As england tends to have more asians than where I've been, is clannishness really an issue and does it affect getting who you really fancy esp if shes a local?

Am I alone in not knowing what an "int'l" is?

Well, it might just be that she's not attracted to this particular bloke.

Having a problem with him just because he's international might be questionable, but the OPs chances with local lasses really does depend on whether the individuals are well matched with him. Also, some people are wary of international students simply because outside of term time, it'd be a very long distance relationship, and a lot of people don't like entering into LDRs.

Few people would care that you're an international student. That said, I'm sure you know, that isn't a guarantee that they'll like you in that way.

Hm, I'm not expressing myself well.

I don't know about in Norway, but in the UK generally there has to be attraction both ways, you can't just assume that the girl "you really fancy" will "really fancy" you back. If there is no problem with attraction both ways you should be fine.

Does not being attracted to a particular race make you racist?

Course not, it's like saying if you don't like members of the opposite sex that are tall, that makes you prejudice against tall people.

Why's the original post in anon?

Nope, so I guess I was wrong.

What exactly do you have against the anonymity?

No, "local" girls will treat you the same way they'll treat other "local" people, generally.
