Haha, thanks! But we had an amazing teacher, and pretty much everyone in our class of thirty something (with the exception of maybe 2 or 3 people) got A*s, and half of those got above 95% I think!
Also to mention that our class was an 'advanced class', so we did it in year 10 when we didn't have any other IGCSEs to focus on (unlike this year!!!!) But yeah, I just did a bunch of past papers and it turned out better than I thought it would!

*unlike the AS Pure Math Paper that hit me in the face a week ago*
It's amazing what a good teacher can do - they're like gold dust

That said, you're being modest but you clearly have maths smarts. Definitely worth celebrating. Hopefully the AS paper comes back OK

Yes, he was an amazing teacher! Apparently he got an award or something for our region??? I don't think he didn't like me very much, but oh well.
And yeah, I was pretty overjoyed when I got the paper back. I'm quite nervous about this year though, we'll see. Fingers crossed!

You'll be surprised that sometimes you think people don't like you when really it's the opposite, and they think you're great Fingers crossed for you too!

English Literature (Amazing teachers, loved the books we studied, had a really nice class too)

History (Good teacher and brilliant content)

English Language (Again, amazing teachers but felt as if the exam prep was very mundane at times)

Chemistry (Loved the content from around December 2012 onwards)

Physics (Loved the content throughout Year 10 and Year 11)

Maths (Improved my Maths skill considerably in Year 11 and had fantastic teachers, but absolutely hated it in Y7-10 haha)

ICT (Really lovely teacher, albeit an NQT, but the coursework was just horrifically time consuming)

Biology (****ing hated it, my worst science)

Spanish (Didn't really enjoy the course itself - it was literally just repeating vocab. Where's the exploration of Spanish media and lit?!)

Hm, I've finished GCSEs now, but here's the rank of how much I enjoyed them, I'd say.

French (the teacher was like a good friend to me)
RE
Art
Geography
Maths
Physics
Chemistry
Biology
English

Sigh, it was a shame I was in such a horrible science group, I had to put them down so low on here. However, I took all three sciences at A level :'D (and maths)

In order of what grades I got (to see the correlation)
Spoiler:
Show
Maths
RE
Physics
Chemistry
Biology/Geograpy
English lit
Statistics
Art
French
English lang

I'm soooo tempted to do Spearman's rank on them to see how correlated enjoyment and grades are...meh, I'll do it later

Hmmmm... :beard:

(BEST - most of which I rank the same...)
-Science (Core and Additional)
-Maths
-English (Lit and Lang)
-History
-Art
-Geography
(WORST - I mean, they aren't thaaaat bad, but...)
-German
-Dance
-Italian

Just guessing because I like all of my subjects really :dontknow:

Just as well, I'd have no excuses if I didn't like them, because I chose them

However, not sure which part of my innocent Year 9 mind thought I'd be great to choose 2 languages... Silly, silly younger me

List the GCSE's you're studying with your favourite at the top and least favourite at the bottom...
Okay umm;
Biology
English Literature
Geography
Chemistry
Media Studies
Health and Social Care
Product Design
English Language
Physics
Maths
For me I loved maths during my foundation GCSE but Higher is too hard and boring for me and Personally i'm not good at physics so I don't really enjoy it. However I did enjoy Biology, English Lit, Media, Chemistry and Geography. Health and Social's easy as long as you don't fall behind and try hard all year.
