can be both. Especially if the other partner is lacking a sex drive, then its one-sided there are other reasons of course for it being one sided.

I'm a girl who's been best friends with a guy for ages. I've always had this gut feeling whenever I'm with him, something tells me it's mutual, but then I decide not to act on it just in case it's not.

ma, can be anything TBH....
for example - met a girl today through another female friend, she seems great and i would say we have 'chemistry'... only prob is you never know do you :P

Yeah I think it can be one-sided, if someone really likes you and is attracted to you then they tend to interpret your actions as advances etc. and while you feel completely indifferent sitting next to them, they might have butterflies and feel tension.
