Would you join after this?

Early this year I went through a phase of anxiety, being up all night and sleeping all day. Ive got my life sorted out now but at the time my dad told this girl (who is my age who he works with) all about my laziness and that I all I did was lie in bed all day. He said that she said 'omg thats pathetic'. The thing is she is on this womens rugby team that I would like to join and my dad keeps asking me to join as they need new players. I really want to but Im too embarrased to go though after all what he has told her. What should I do??

Talk to your Dad about it and let him know that you're embaressed.

Obviously if you join the rugby team she's going to think your dad is talking nonsense, so don't worry about it.

She will probably just think that Im sorting my life out or something but I don't want her to know all about my past! (but she does!) My mum asked my dad what exactly he told her and he said ''well what could I say I told her the truth, she thinks its disgusting, when people ask what am I supposed to say ''. The thing is he complains when I tell my friends about him saying it is none of there buisness.

Rise above it. You're not going to enjoy yourself because of something your Dad said? Just because he said something doesn't mean she believed him, or thinks any less of you.

And you don't have to tell her anything
Its none of her business
So if you want to join join and you don't have to explain yourself to her
Its not like she's family or anything
unless she's your friend and all

Yea they still work with each other, I suppose your right I would be giving the same advice but its different when it happens to you lol, its like I don't know what hes told her or anything I hope hes not told her that I have 6 hamsters lol!! Anyway I'l join, thanks.
