I keep getting bad headaches, only on the right side of my head though, aand it is getting reaslly annoying as Syndol, Panadol and the rest don't seem to be doing the trick. Do any of you know any quick, practical ways to cure a headache?

Try using a cold damp flannel or gel pack on your head if you have 5 mins free- always works for me.
Apparantly running your wrists under a cold water tap also works so Ive been told, but Ive never tried it.

Id be more concerned about what was causing the headaches though, do you need an eyetest maybe?

Laying in a dark room helps me, though I can get very sensitive to light with headaches.
Make sure you are drinking lots of water (lots of headaches are caused by dehydration) and eating a good diet.
The cold flannel that adverse_reaction mentioned can work quite well.

Try not to take too many painkillers I found that they became less effective after a while.
It could be stress that is causing headaches? you had/having exams recently? Worried about going to uni/college?
If you keep getting recurring headaches for a while it might be worthwhile telling your doctor about it.

I get headaches on the right side of my head and I am afraid this is the only cure!

It'll probably take you a while to get to sleep though, due to the pain.
