I am currently reading both Blood River (by Tim Butcher) and Heart of Darkness (by Joseph Conrad) for AS English Language and Literature. I am trying to look for quotes relevant to the exploitation of the natives around the River Congo. I've found a few for Heart Of Darkness but I am a bit stuck on quotes for Blood River. Is there anyone else doing this course? If so, have you found any relevant quotes? Did you find reading the books quite difficult ?

i also have bee reading these books and i find them very difficult to take in, so far i cant find any themes of exploitation in either haha , What did you find in heart of darkness??

Hey do you still have your coursework for this so I could have a look at it? I honestly have written nothing for mine and it's due in next week, im panicking because It's A Levels://
