Placement year and living at home...

It seems placement years are integral to most degrees as competition is seemingly damn tight these days - which begs the question, has anyone lived at home whilst doing their placement or is anyone considering living at home?

I know people who've done placements in London and have chosen to stay at home (they live in London) rather than paying high rents, otherwise though, most people tend to live out, generally in a house with other people doing placements.

I didn't mean London.... If you do a placement in London the pay is JUST enough to pay the living cost!! - or so I've heard (unless you get one in an IB)!

One of the guys I'm working with at my summer internship is an intercalating student who's been there since last September. He's living at home and commutes in every day :smile:
