Interrupts

cant seems to find any information about interrupts could some point me to a full definition : the names and functions of interrupts and how and why they are used? or tell me this? :smile:

This is a very useful site. Interrupts vary from software to hardware. The former in the Operating system and software(duh) and Hardware built into the BIOS generally.

Here is a list of almost all interrupts on the x86 platform(and perhaps more): http://www.ctyme.com/rbrown.htm

You can also use syscall if you have one of the newer OSes AFAIK(at least with x86_64 linux).
