My last boyfriend wasn't into football and it would cause a few arguments. Especially when his mum got involved and told me that I should be paying more attention to her son....

I've also been told before that a girl only likes football to get attention.....

Seriously though, my dad started to take me to matches when I was about 5 years old. Supported Oldham ever since so the girls can be just as into it as the blokes!
That's crazy, I'd have told your Bf's mum to stuff it!

Football is awesome!
And it can be appreciated and loved and played by anyone !
I like talking about football with everybody, mainly cause I'm a little obsessive and it's my main hobby ! 😮, but I don't know that much, just ARSENAL!
This is our year!!!!!
I also think if you're not into football fair enough, people should except what people like/dislike. But that'll never happen so people should just enjoy what they like and think for themselves regardless of others but also with in means. No killing. Tangent :O

I have female friends that are into football. I don't really think anything of it, I go to the pub with them and watch it quite regularly. If they can hold their own in a conversation then we're all good, it's always obvious when it's put on.

If my future girlfriend actually wants to come to Villa Park with me, then i'll be onto a winner I think.

Personally I dont like football, I ****ing love it.
Not to sound dramatic but football is literally my life, I have dreams about it and I'm a girl.
I play it too, and have done for 10+ and disagree that it's a men's sport only, I think at top level the men's game is much more polished which makes it more enjoyable to watch.
But I think girls liking football shouldn't be seen as a big deal.. Although I would agree some pretend to like it to get guys which is beyond pathetic.

I think it's a pity that more girls don't like football but I realise that's changing.

The ones that do sometimes get made fun of behind their backs which is a pity.

The more girls who like football the better. Plus it makes a girl seem more well rounded ,ha.

Is this a serious reply? Feminine pursuits? Nobody tells men what they can or can't like or do!

That is great, all the more, if the girls really understand the rules and are into the sport that way they now what the best teams in a season are. That is a good base for discussions!

Apparently one in six football supporters is a woman (source is an old quote from Delia Smith). Nothing wrong with this, also those with no interest should be respected.
