English Language GCSE - November!

Hellooo I've finally completed my English Language GCSE (hurray, I hated that thing!) on Tuesday the 5th. Now I'm wondering about grade boundaries...

I got 78/80 for the coursework.
Full marks for the speaking.

What is the lowest I could get in the exam for an A* overall? I really didn't like the exam we did on Tuesday, I thought the mocks were better. In the mock we did the week before I got 63/80 which I was disappointed about. I usually get extremely high in Section B compared to A (mock: 15/16 Question 5 and 23/24 Question 6).


So how did the exam for you go?
What did you get in the CA and speaking?
What grade do you expect to get in the exam? Or mark.

And..when are we getting results back?

AND ARE YOU EXCITED FOR LITERATURE?! I'm so happy! Which novels should you be studying? We're doing Of Mice and Men and Lord of the Flies (which we did a CA on in Year 10). We also did all of our controlled assessments in Year 10 so Year 11 is all exam prep, we even got the Othello & Robert Browning comparison CA out of the way :smile:
