Post exam stress relief

hey everyone,
i've just finished my exams but i'm actually having problems trying to relax! I keep worrying about what uni willl be like (if i get the grades) and even that i should be relaxing! everyone's said it'll take a couple of days to get totally de-stressed but i was wondering if anyone else is experiencing something similar? Or if any of you have any suggestions that may help (i sometimes find it hard to sleep even)! i can't stay wound up for 6 whole weeks...

thanks.

I'm experiencing exactly the same as you. Doesn't help that my brothers form of winding down stress relief is to make me angry and stressed. We're having a lot of work done to the house over the sumer so I'm gonna throw myself into helping with that such as knocking down our porch.
Other stuff i'm gonna try is getting a job so that I have something to do and going paintballing with a mate if I can find my mobile which has his number on. Also see if you can spend time with someone special. I'm gonna see if I can find this girl I like while college is still on and ask her out.
There are some suggestions for you.
Is there something, perhaps an activity, that you really enjoy doing that might help you relax?

Just remember that you have FINISHED your exams, woo! Have you got anything coming up over the summer you're looking forward to? A holiday? Focus on this rather than your brother.

If you're not going on holiday, perhaps organise a mini break for you and a couple of friends or go to a spa for the day.

Good luck!

It took me a while to find out how to de-stress myself after exams and it varies from person to person.

Here is a question to ask yourself:
What is it something that I always enjoy doing and that always makes me happy? Is it drawing, hanging out with friends, listening to music, reading books?

For some, it's being quiet like meditation, doing yoga... others, it's hiking, talking a walk in the park, being in touch with nature.

That's something you have to figure out yourself! The earlier you find out what de-stresses you, the easier you will get relaxed once you get to uni and get a job/pursue your career

I know its hard but there really is not a point worrying about it. You need to keep yourself busy doing anything you can, helping out round the house, a Job to keep you busy, anything that you really enjoy doing. Its hard to settle right back down after stressfull exams, but if you keep busy then you should be fine.

No ****.
Sorry couldn't help it.
I am kind of in the same position. As exams are over, it feels sometimes as if I have no real point at the moment. The problem is that I can't really do anything too interesting because I am still at boarding school (which sucks in a way)
what i did after my last exam was drank way too much, sang to some strangers, fell over quite alot then threw up everywhere. Took a day to recover but im feeling quite relaxed now, kinda feels like its all over.
Drink heavily. I've been there, done it, got the t-shirt and thrown up all over it. It works.
Don't worry I feel the same I find keeping myself distracted helps, go shopping, or just for walks in general, read lots of books, watch films, just don't spend lots of time siting and thnking about it. There's absolutely nothing you can do now, you did your best and it's over!
lol i haven't had time to de-stress, I started a full time job (just for summer) almost immediately after tests, from 8am to 5.30pm, lugging tiles around. Marvelous. Good money though, although it is a pissing salary so be waiting a while for any reward.
