TSR Motorbike Society Official Thread

as much as i love cars there aren't enough threads on my first love... the motorcycle. what do you ride?

from scooters to superbikes, honda cub90's to 'blades

what do you love and whats your absolute dream bike.

for everybody who loves hammond over clarkson
twowheels over four,
accelaration over shear practicalness.

LETS JUST TALK ABOUT BIKES!

I like both cars and 2 wheels, i want a Ducati 999 and a Harley or a custom chopper...

Although if i can't get them, a CBR600 will do nicely!

Need to get my bike licence first tho...and persuade mum! lol!

just do it, i did.

my dream bike is a blade, i've got an '86 VF500 F2 at the mo which is restricted to 33bhp. i plan on getting next either a CBR600F or a Triumph Daytona 650! ummm:smile:

ooo...thats a tough decision! My mind is saying the CBR because it is Honda and therefore uber quick and reliable...but my heart is saying Daytona because its 'British' and has the heritage!

I guess you have the same dilemma!!

Yeh, i will get my licence when i get some money together and some time!

it is a dillema i must admit it, i'm tempted about the honda cause they are nearly
all bullet proof!
My bike is a Fly Pantera, Odyssey racing parts all over.

Oh, thought we were on about BMX, my other true love.
Anyone want to buy a learner SR 125cc, or Honda Bros 400cc? I'm selling those two this summer and perhaps getting an off-roader to repace them.

i like bros 400's
They're really nice and easy to ride, quite cheap to run bikes, and very understated if you like that kinda thing.

On a side note I've noticed that there aren't as many bikers on the road this summer as there were last year, any ideas why? Maybe its just my area. *shrugs*

I saw that ruddy Honda ad with the bloke in white leathers on an old Honda bike singing - it makes me want to ride again!! *cries* It's such a tease.

I prefer offroad bikes. Nothing like hauling ass out in the bush on a 250 2-stroke in 4th gear when suddenly the powerband kicks in! Hell yeah!

A mate of mine has a death trap on 2 wheels; a 2004 GSX-R1000. It was previously an award winning track race bike. So it has all the extras you could imagine.

Being the nutter he and the rest of my mates are, he does what he's dubbed "road sliding". They jump off their bikes at around 120km/h and while holding on they slide on the road next to their bikes... I've uploaded videos of this onto a hosting site that now won't allow me to access my own friggin account.

But search for "road sliding" at www.zippyvideos.com, maybe you have more luck than I am...

that advert is great!

The bmw rs110 is a great bike, to see and to ride... my dads got a classic Honda 750four too which is nice...

classic bikes are by far the nicest... i'm not to keen on bikes covered in faring either... i like to see the engine! anyone else think that way?

i prefur bikes with fairing, but i do admit naked bikes are pretty. especially the classics. i wouldn't mind buying an old triumph bonneville!

since i saw the longway round i wouldn't mind doing an offroad track. i don;t really like 2-strokes though, i'd rather take to the off road with a BMW GS:smile:

I do like naked bikes, but they're not very practical if you're doing lots of high speed riding and you haven't got much wind protection! And yeah I love the looks of classic bikes. Triumph are onto a winner with their modern classics range:

Yummy.

Do you ride yourself?

Argh stop it I want one. Think I'm gonna try an off-roading school this summer if I can afford it.
