Obviously there are textbook mistakes, but there are also intentional comments that the person writing the textbook think are important but are extraordinarily stupid.
I know it's not much of a hilarious example, but I do remember the Physics AQA GCSE book containing a picture of waves and the caption was 'Big Waves'...
Anyone got any amusing ones?

I once saw a 'helpful exam hint!' in an AS level Psychology textbook saying, 'remember, animals don't think the same way as humans'

I believe in the AQA A-level Physics A book, there is a note that says something along the lines of "Do not get "n" words mixed up - neutron, neutrino, nucleus, nucleon."
