Sketching graphsWatch

Hi guys,

I have know idea why but I'm dead confused...

I've been told that the equation x2 + 10x + k = 0 has equal roots.
I've worked this out to be k=25?

the follow-up question is to sketch the graph of:
y = x2 + 10 + k,
which I then written as:
y= x2 + 10k + 25, which I factorised to get (x+5)(x+5)...

HOW DO I PLOT THIS??? I probably look like a [email protected] but I'm confused as to how you would plot it, is this the point where it just bounces off the x axis??

Cheers, Tarj

I'm guessing you're on about C1. How far are you into like AS maths? I feel like our class is going at quite a slow pace. We've covered half of S1 and 5/8 chapters in C1. I don't think we should have spent so long on basics!
