I am a single parent of 2 at the age of 23, i have a job a a carer but want to get into uni as i would like to become a midwife...i only have gcse's from leaving school, would i still get accepted ?

You would likely need to do an access course and/or some further qualifications, you wouldn't be able to go straight in with just GCSEs. What you're best doing is looking at unis that offer midwifery (in an area that suits you and your family) and look at their requirements. Contacting admissions departments directly is also a way of getting information.

Have a look through the nursing and midwifery forum http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=640 as I am sure there are people who can give you more information than I can.

I'm a nurse, and there were plenty of mums (some single) on my course that managed to juggle it all, so that side is not impossible.
