Helooo I am supposed to pick a third text for my coursework which will be 3000 words and will compare 'Much ado about nothing' and 'The magic toyshop' by angela carter with my third text. I want to talk about the themes of patriarchy or presentation of women etc. Any novels, plays or poems you can recommend ? Thankyou

How about 'The Handmaid's Tale' by Margaret Attwood? I think it would fit in well with your themes of patriachy because it involves a 'commander' running a household along with a 'wife'. Basically, the only value that a women has is her fertility! You should read it!!

I did the same theme as you! I handed in my final draft last week. You could pick The Handmaid's Tale or maybe A Streetcar Named Desire? Streetcar was my second text and I think it worked well. Definitely check it out, it's not very long. Good luck!
