Hi,

I was studying for a BA on a three year course and repeated my second year (due to health reasons), for which I received funding from student finance. I then failed my second year and so left the university with an HE cert. I want to apply to finish my degree elsewhere. I have 2 years left to complete, but have had 3 year's worth of funding. Is it likely I'll get the funding to finish my degree full time? I'd be really grateful for any advice about this

Thanks

Hi there,

You indicated that you left due to health reasons. Are you able to provide evidence to support this.

All students are entitled to the length of their course plus one gift year minus any years previous study.

At present your calculation is as follows.

3 + 1 = 4 - 3 = 1 years remaining support.

If you can send evidence of compelling personal reasons e.g leaving due to medical grounds we may be able to grant a years support back

3 + 1 = 4 - 3 = 1 + 1 = 2 years full support.
