Hello all,

I am bilal and new to the tsr.

As part of the final year requirement, I have been given the following theme:
Materials and Manufacturing Systems Engineering : MicroNano moulding.

To be honest I am clueless and a little little vex, since its a 30 credit module (25 % of my degree).
My supervisor has suggested something related to polymer use in auto mobiles.

Can some one please suggest any ideas on polymer use, or anything to do with polymers?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Hi,
Generally speaking nonotubes are used to reinforce polymers, plastics, rasins and other chemical compounds.
It's a pretty interesting topic and there is a lot of materials on this subject if you search in Internet.
Attached is one of the articles which could give you a better understanding of what nanotubes are about and what could be their application.
These are Nitrogen-doped Nanotubes which is even more sophisticated form but it does not change the nature of the substance.
Sorry, had to download the text in .rtf format without pictures and photos otherwise it was a too large volume.
Good luck.
