okay so I'm trying to work out how many marks I need in each of the two English language (AQA) examinations which are worth 20% each. I've done all my coursework and have obtained full marks in all four of them. Does anyone have any idea what kind of marks I need to get in the papers in order to get an A* overall? Oh and another thing, on the specification it says 20% of the qualification comes from a speaking and listening controlled assessment, but my teacher tells me we aren't doing that any more due to changes. So what makes up that missing 20%? is it one of the four pieces of coursework?

This is the AQA statement on how the change will be implemented:

http://www.aqa.org.uk/subjects/engli...-and-listening

There is no change to the marks for the controlled assessments, so the written exams are now increased to 60% of your marks.

Assuming after your assessments are moderated, you still have 100% for these, then you will already have 40% of the 90% required for an A*. You will need to get 50/60ths of the available UMS for the written exams to get an A*.
