Okay, so I used Harvard referencing without footnotes for my entire essay. Which meant I used things such as King (2003, p.102)

Rather than "blahblahblah".^1

I am not sure if this is okay. Even though my Mother works at University, who claims this is the way they reference (what I used). My historical enquiry is in tomorrow (AQA) and I am worrying because I don't have enough time to change it.

If this is AQA History A2 I assume you mean your deadline is today, so you've handed it in (that's early!) but in case you're still worrying, it's fine whatever referencing system you use. They don't actually mind as long as there's a clear bibliography I think. I used the Chicago one myself but I know some people didn't even use formal referencing.
