# Multiplying transpose matrices watch

1. Hey guys, I'm confused with this question.

Determine whether (Cx)^T = X^T C^T is true

C
0 0 1
1 0 0
0 1 0

X
3
-6
6

Could anyone explain the steps to work it out?

Thanks
2. Since you are given C and x, just work out each side and see if they are the same.

First, multiply C with X, and then take the transpose of the result. Note that you simply swap rows with columns to do this.

Then, take the transpose of X and C (in turn) and compute .

Note that you simply want to see if these two things are equal.

multiplying C and X gives:
6
3
-6

Transpose = 6, 3 -6

transpose of X:
3, -6, 6

transpose of C:
0 1 0
0 0 1
1 0 0

:
6 3 -6

Ah, so they're equal. Have i done this right?
Thanks
