Hello,

I study at University in Hungary and I want to move London and continue or start over my coures. I will not have a degree. Hungarian government pays my studies, but if I leave my Uni I have to pay back the tuition fee. My question is, can I get a student loan every year for a full-time electrical engineering course?

Thanks for the response in advance.

If I join a 3 year course, the government would give me student loan 3+1 times and my ~2 years (at the Hungarian university) will be subtracted from 4, so I only can get student loan 2 times, right?

Hi there,

That is correct. If you join a 3 year course in the UK after 2 years studying in Hungary, you would be eligible to receive the Tuition Fee Loan for the 2nd and 3rd years of the new course.

Thanks

And if I have to start over I would be eligible to receive the tuition fee loan for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of the new course?

Hi there, if you start a new course, you will still be classed as having studies for two academic years previously.

Due to this, you would not be eligible to receive a Tuition Fee Loan for the first year of a new course.

Thanks.

Hi, sorry for the lot of questions.

If I leave my university after year 1 and start over in the UK, I would be eligible to receive the tuition fee loan for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of the new course?
