Hi, I am currently studying an HND full time for two years, for which I have been assessed as getting no tuition fee loan for the first year. This is due to previous study at HNC, even though I paid for this myself.

My question is I would like to do a top-up year to get a degree at the end of my course. Would I be eligible for this further year of funding?

HI, is this the case? I thought that it was the length of your course, plus one year, then minus previous study. So in my case current course 2 years + 1 = 3 years, minus 2 years previous study (even though it was 2 years part time) leaves one year of funding. This is the second year of my HND only?

If this has changed that would be fantastic.

Hi there,

Please be assured that previous Part Time study is not counted if a qualification was not gained, therefore you will entitled to receive full financial support.

Thanks

But I did gain the qualification? that was why I was informed that I would only receive full funding for the second year of the HND. Bit harsh I thought as I had never previously received student finance!!!
