I've got to be honest, doing past papers is the best way to revise for these. For me what i did is i made flash cards on my phone of all the definitions and equations i had to know, and just kept going through them every day till i remembered them all. Make notes on each page in your textbook and do every question in it. Then go on to doing past papers; as that will give you the best indication as to how you're doing. Speaking for physics, i know about 11/60 marks on one of my papers are purely equations. That's enough to get you up 2 grades if you're getting most of the calculation questions right. Speaking of calculations, learn the formulas and see if you can see why they're true. Taking suvat, if you're doing maths then look at the mathematical proofs. If not, look at the proof from the graphs and the areas underneath. Understanding how the equation works is vital as it gives you a good incite into what sort of numbers you should expect. I hope this helped.
