I have a 2 day assessment centre on Wednesday and need to prepare a 10 minute presentation on a topic that I know absolutely nothing about. I also have to answer questions for 10 minutes, and the reason I have applied for this in the first place is that my degree was quite diverse, so I'm not a specialist in anything, and this seemed vaguely relevant to my course.

I'm contemplating going for the sake of it because the thought of giving up would be unbearable. On the other hand, I dont want to waste 2 days and make a fool of myself. In all honesty I dont see myself getting this job simply because there are more qualified people applying for the same position, but would not going be considered as quitting unreasonably?
