At the moment I am in Year 11 at Loreto Grammar School, and although I think some aspects about our sixth form are attractive, I feel that the school is quite sheltered and that if I go their I won't get enough independence. However, I went to Xaverian College's taster day and I really enjoyed it! The teachers all seemed nice (if I go there I would take Classics, Ancient History, English Lit/Lang and Geography) and so did everyone else my own age. I'm not exactly nervous of meeting new people, as I've gone up and introduced myself to people I don't know before, but what worries me if that everyone will be smarter than me. Obviously in Year 11 now, all my friends and teachers know my ability and I fit in well, I'm just worried it won't be the same if I go to Xaverian. Despite this, I really desire some independence! Can I get some opinions on the two?

Most of my friends went to Xaverian, I think they found a lot of their subjects pretty difficult and didn't really like it but they made good friends who made it bearable, I reckon it'd be good to have a change from Loreto.

Have you looked at Aquinas? I think I only knew 2 people that went there but it's meant to be good.
