Hi

I studied a year of my degree (zoology BSc) but did not sit the summer exams (so no qualification) and then transferred to another degree at another university, sat a year but before the end of the year I finally got accepted onto a veterinary science degree; will I get a tuition fee loan and or maintenance grant from SFE for my vet degree? Or will it be reduced? eg. minus the 2 first years I've already sat?

Thank you

Sophie

Hi there,

We calculate your entitlement for full funding by awarding you full funding for every year of your new course plus an extra gift year then we deduct your years of previous study I.E.

3 year degree course + 1 gift year = 4 years - 2 years previous study = 2 years full entitlement, which would be awarded in the final two years of the course.

All other years would be Maintenance Loan only.

Thanks,
