Down from 4 to 3 A Levels in Year 12?

I was wondering if it would be possible to drop my 4th AS Level for nothing and just do 3 A Levels. I know this is typically done at the end of Year 12 but I can't stand English Lit and I really don't want to do it anymore. The only problem is I have a high GCSE point average and I don't know if me doing 3 A Levels would be possible.

Is it possible to drop an A Level completely in November? Has anyone here done it before?

Couldn't you pick an AS level back up next year for a different subject ?
I'm kind of content on the other 3 I'm currently doing to be honest. I'm doing an EPQ on top of this and I think it will just be too much work in the long run.

It may depend on your school to be honest. Don't get me wrong it's a great A Level to have, It's just the books are pretty boring compared to GCSE, But maybe that's just my personal opinion.
