Congratulations! That is a great course - have you seen some of the press articles about what the students do? Here's a good one http://bit.ly/I4Lwuf

Good luck and let me know if I can help at all.

Best Wishes

Hi, I also got an offer for Msc Management Start Date 29 Spt. 2014.
Any tips and opinions about Business School? Checking the university ranking, I noticed that student' s satisfaction is rather low.
Thanks for helping!

Hi Elena

I'll ask Hannah to get in touch tomorrow - she graduated from the Business School 2 years ago and is, (among many other things!), one of our official reps here on TSR.

I'll also put a note on our business school Facebook group to see if any current students are TSR members and can head over here to speak to you .

In the meantime here are a couple of articles about the business school that you might find interesting

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Hi lucyrose101

Don't worry about being away from the centre of town, for a start the Falmer campus itself is home to around 7000 students, so there is plenty happening on campus. On top of that central Brighton is only 7mins away by train (they run every 10 -15min). There is also a really good bus service into town, which can take a little longer than the train, depending on the traffic, but it runs day and night so it's always easy to get around

There is some more travel info here on this map too.

http://www.brighton.ac.uk/maps/falmer/

Living closer to the campus you study on can have it's benefits (more time for a lie in before early lectures!) but it depends on what kind of accommodation you would prefer to live in (halls, shared house) too.

Hope that helps, I'll ask on Facebook whether any current Falmer students will hop over here and tell you more too

Best Wishes

Viv

Hi incoqnito

Good questions! I will put a note in our Mouslecoomb campus Facebook group and see if any current students from your course or campus would be happy to share their experience of studying here

The thing that I really love about Brighton and Hove is that it's vibrant and busy city with different areas (you probably know already, it's close to the sea, the countryside, has 2 piers, marina, shopping centre, The Lanes etc.) BUT it's easy to get around and everything is close by. It's easy to nip into town for a night out or go from campus to the beach and then into town. Whatever you like really! The Moulsecoomb campus (where I am sitting now typing this is where 8000 students are based) is only 3 miles from central Brighton, a 4min train ride.

If you haven't already, check out the map and other travel details. http://www.brighton.ac.uk/maps/mouls...php?PageId=760
The public transport is really good here too.

Hope this is useful.

Best Wishes

Recently I met 2 students from our Grand Parade campus - Kate, who studies BA(Hons) Graphic Design and Lauren, who studies BA(Hons) Photography. They entered a competition and made a short film about the North Laine in Brighton where they live. If you want to see a glimpse of life in Brighton, have a quick read of this story and watch their film on Vimeo http://bit.ly/1ccXkSE

Enjoy!

Thank you Viv that helped a lot! Also from reading other peoples comments it seems that not everyone is guaranteed accommodation on the campus, what do you do then if this happens? Are there other campuses that you can stay on whilst studying at Falmer do you know?
Thanks again
