Hey guys,

Without wanting to go into all the details, my friend screwed me over time and time again, and I am fed up of it - he got away with so much, treating people like crap and I want to get him back. I'm not looking to break the law, but what can I do, so he gets the message.
I never want to be has mate again, - ideas???

The Sicilians say revenge is a dish best served cold. But, I've seen all The Godfather films and most of them end up of dead. Perhaps walking away and retaining the moral high-ground is the most morally uplifting option. And the safest.

Erm, swap his shampoo for hair removal cream?

Seriously, though, you're best off being mature and just walking away.

Looking for active revenge is not a good idea, it makes you as low as him if you do. Best way is to completely blank and ignore him, sooner or later karma will bite him.

Leave a severed horse head in his bed. If you can't get hold of one, make one out of papier mache. It'll make sure he thinks twice before messing with the Mafia again (I'm assuming you're in the Mafia).

Be the better person, forgive him and move on.

I wish that would be everyone's first thought before taking revenge

Just walk away with your middle finger held in the air...

No, seriously, walk away. Don't stoop to his level and get revenge, that's just messing up your good character (I assume).

Change your identity, become a black belt in Karate. Being a billionaire will help.

Haha some interesting ideas.. Basically the person I despise thought it was acceptable to treat my like crap when I helped him through his bulimia and bullying. I was his only friend, and then he ditched me for some desperate virgin girl that because she didn't the fact we were friends offered her virginity to him, and basically acted a slut. It might seem playgroundish, but this was a person who I considered my closest friends, and when I am socially awkward anyway, it has made life very hard for me. I lived through his disorder, and was now after being lied to, 6 months on he has got away with treating me, and the girl (who even though I hate but feel sorry for) like crap.
Karma won't get him back, and to hell with taking the moral highground - NICE GUYS NEVER WIN!!!!

And to the person who trivialized my upset, thank you for your wise words of wisdom....

To the guy

So how exactly did he "treat you like crap," besides distancing himself from you? Don't you have any other friends? :eyebrow:

I don't quite understand the problem here. So you supported him during an illness and after he recovered he got a girlfriend and spent less time with you? Sorry, I did read it through a few times but I think there are some crucial words missing.

Okay, that's not a nice thing to do, but it is kind of typical. Certainly people have been treated much worse and shrugged it off.

I think you're wrong about nice guys never winning. What I'm sure about is that embittered angry people never win. Don't be that guy. Just learn the lesson and move on. People often disappoint us but if everyone took revenge every time something upsetting happened we'd basically be living in a state of all out anarchy and unless I've misunderstood a crucial detail, you are over-reacting to this problem.

You're right, I'm a massive drama queen that has over-reacted about this completely. Thank you so much.

It depends how much access you have to him and his room. Answer that and I'll give you the master of revenge. Not even breaking the law.
