Hi, after much thought I am very seriously considering dropping out of university at the end of this, my 2nd year, for reasons I will not bore you with

I have a college HNC course in mind that I would like to switch to, and I was wondering if I am still eligible for course fees and student loan if I switch to this course? Have any of you been in a similar situation?

    Thanks!

This is an old thread but incase anyone else is looking for an answer to this question - yes! I did exactly this, left in second year to do a HNC and got full tuition fees paid and student loan for the year. When you apply through SAAS just make sure you tick the box that says 'repeat year' or similar.

Is that is still going to work if I fail my 2nd year?

I reckon so. As long as you don't gain the qualification ie. finish your degree, you'll still get your +1 year to use to repeat a year
