I'm really worried about my UCAS reference. I'm Spanish and so none of my teachers even knew what UCAS was when I mentioned it to them. I asked my English teacher to be my referee, and he asked me if I could send him samples, because he has never done anything like this before.

Since I've heard the reference is a very important part of the application, I'm worried it won't be good for his lack of experience with this.

Could someone help me out? Any guides/samples would be perfect.

Might be hard to find samples because the student does not get to see the reference.
However I did get to see mine because I needed it for something else I was applying for. My referee wrote some general things about my personality, e.g works well in a team, polite, determined etc.
The also got each of my subject teachers to do the same, they just talked about how I was doing in the subject and again, my personality.

The referee should write things that shows you will be suited for university life

Type 'ucas reference example' into Google Images and there are a few on there that you could send to him.
