    If you're prepared to wait until mid December, lots of places will start heavily reducing all of their Christmas decorations in a desperate attempt to sell it. We did that one year, went to B&Q the week before Christmas and got a ridiculous amount of decorations which were all at least 50% off.

    Paperchains only require staples if you take a copy of the Metro.

    If you live near a park then pine cones with some sort of glitter dipped on them.

    There's probably good work to be done with dried pasta but that's beyond my skill-set.
