I am looking to start Uni next year, not sure where as yet, I have a few in mind but where do you look to find somewhere to live. Prices may be a factor as to where I finally choose. Suggestions please. Thanks.

If your a first year then halls is usually the easiest place to go- makes for the best transition to uni as bills are included and you have on site/nearby support when things go wrong, contract isn't for the whole year and you'll be around lots of potential new friends.

Thanks jelly. Halls is the main option and will let me get to meet people. Just thinking of everything at the moment. My mate never stopped in halls and went straight into shared accomm and said it was best for him. Decisions, decisions. Its a long way off yet.

The only reason I can think of not to want to go into halls is because sometimes they can be noisy late at night, especially during freshers, depending on who you end up with. Not to say that house shares cant be noisy too, they definitely can but when its just the occupants in there are generally less people around.
