Hello, I have recently started university but it is really not what i thought it would be. I am currently 100 pounds in my over draft (food and rent and books ) and am failing miserably. if i drop out what would happen wit hthe 100 pounds over draft in my student account? would it sky-rocket or could would it be interest free? and what would happen in regards to my student loan i.e would i get payed in jan and have more debt?? thank you all

Sorry you're not doing well. You'd probably be better asking your bank what would happen with the overdraft, if it would get interest charged, could you ask family to give you some money to get out of the overdraft then maybe create a new account without an overdraft and pay them back gradually.

If you drop out (now or sometime before Christmas), I think you shouldn't be charged for january's tuition fees and onwards (there's probably a date that your university has by which you can drop out and ONLY be responsible for the first term's loan.

    Hope this is clear :s
